Because there is something delicious on the menu for everyone, because you can sit outside, children can be there and in between you have some freedom of movement on the square. What bothered us were the many wasps. Since there were so many wasps among other guests who preferred spaghetti ice cream, we were warned and reduced our dessert request to a delicious little ice cream. Pizza and Spaghetti Bolognese were nice portions. The raviolini with fig and sheep cheese filling in mustard sauce was a bit small. I would have cleaned the lettuce on the side salad plate more carefully at home. Otherwise the mood was good. We weren't there for the first time.

One of my favorite places in Ludwigshafen! Especially in summer you sit very comfortably on the square and you also eat very well there. A fresh homemade ice cream then ensures a dessert after the meal. What more could you want on a nice, sociable summer evening! Hence a clear recommendation on my part.

Beside us sat two Russian women who took selfies for 2 hours, filmed themselves and talked very loudly. So eating is unfortunately not fun. By the way, they are regular guests and are here at least once a week.

Great place to eat Italian pizza

Superb place with a water-fountain on the terrasse. I had the vegetarian pizza and it was amazingly delicious and my friend had the mushroom one... mmmm-marvelous. The ice cream is also excellent! Price are fair and the staff is nice, friendly and efficient. I can’t wait to go back !

It took 50 mins to have our food, but taste was good.

Have been coming here for years with a lot of pleasure, receive every year with open arms. Because I have been coming there for years, they now know what I like and I am surprised every time by the delicious Italian dishes of the chef. Do not order lasagna if it is not on (personally no better found)

A nice quite place under the church with nice food

Couldn't believe such a nice restaurant exists in Ludwigshafen. Delicious food, a beautiful locale and helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

If you come to Ludwigshafen and don’t visit Angelo, then you haven’t been to Ludwigshafen. The restaurant occupies the entirety of what was a church and what remains of it; courtyard and towers included. The space is truly unique and charming as is the owner and his family. Angelo brings the authentic tastes of Sicily to the Rheinland-Palatinate region. The pizza, pastas, and other home-made dishes are spectacular. I was lucky to taste a dish of Sicilian beans over risotto (pictured below) which was most delicious and satisfying. In any case, don’t miss this local gem; you won’t forget it.

Great Italian restaurant in a superb location. It is located inside the remainings of an old church.

I found it all very tasty. The menu is not too big, which for me always shows that everything is homemade and that you take your time. The dishes were all typically Italian, with appetizers there were delicious, warm, soft rolls with olive oil straight from Sicily. I will gladly come again!
